Following four-day hiatus, Householder trial resumes; judge forbids consumption of Skyline Chili

After a nearly weeklong hiatus, the trial of former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder is set to resume today. Judge Timothy Black postponed the trial Wednesday through Monday due to a juror’s illness, which many speculated was Covid-19.
It was later revealed that the juror was instead suffering from severe gastrointestinal irritation beginning Tuesday evening. The individual – known only as Juror No. 2 – opted to skip lunch last Tuesday, assuming for some reason that the afternoon session would fly by. By the time that day’s proceedings concluded, Juror No. 2 felt so hungry that he drove to the nearest Skyline Chili location and reportedly downed a pair of chili cheese dogs and a “5-Way” spaghetti dinner.
