Poll: Amid threats of TikTok ban, Gen Z now lists Xi Jinping as top choice in 2024 US presidential race
A Quinnipiac poll released this week contains some warning signs for American presidential hopefuls eager to ban TikTok, the Chinese-owned app most popular among young people.
The poll, conducted March 24-27, found that nearly half of individuals in Generation Z would support China President Xi Jinping in next year’s US presidential election. President Joe Biden received 35 percent and former president Donald Trump received 17 percent.
Generation Z includes any person who believes landline telephones have only ever been found in museums. Anyone older than this group falls into one of two categories: Boomer or Deceased.
